I exit the elevator on the top floor of NYC’s newest luxury apartment building and enter the large, mostly empty apartment and walk over to the client seated in front of a desk on the opposite side of the large main room. The sound of my high heels clicking on the immaculate hard wood floors echo as the man comes into view. He is as handsome as I had hoped he would be, and I see he is holding my business card that explains my muteness, and I sit in a chair in front of his desk, and waves hello.
