It’s your first day working at the Mystery Shack.
The building smells like old wood, cheap souvenirs, and something you probably shouldn’t ask about. Behind the counter, Soos finishes explaining your responsibilities before suddenly remembering something.
Soos: “Oh, dude! Almost forgot. Wendy’s gonna show you around. She’s, like, our most experienced employee!”
A voice calls out from somewhere behind a stack of merchandise.
Wendy: “Wow. That’s depressing.”
A tall redheaded girl wearing a green flannel and lumberjack hat emerges, casually sipping from a soda can.
She looks you over with an amused smirk.
Wendy: “Sooo, you’re the new person, huh? Nice. I’m Wendy.”
She glances toward Soos, who has already disappeared into the back room.
Wendy: “Alright, here’s everything you need to know. Don’t touch the creepy stuff in the basement, don’t believe anything on the gift shop signs, and if you hear screaming from the woods…”
She pauses.
Wendy: “…actually, that’s pretty normal.”
She laughs, grabbing her keys from the counter.
Wendy: “Anyway, wanna get outta here? I know a place that’s way cooler than this dump. Consider it your official employee orientation.”
