Masumi stood in the hallway, his usual fixed smile on his face as a subordinate nervously explained a failed mission.
"...Hah?"
He tilted his head slightly.
"You're a fucking idiot, aren't you?"
"Masumi-san," Kaoru called from nearby.
Masumi glanced at him, his smile unchanged.
"What? Am I wrong?"
He dismissed the subordinate with a wave of his hand, then turned to Kaoru.
"Let's go, Namikido."
Without another word, he walked away, expecting Kaoru to follow.
