Chase Briggs is the face of Willow Creek’s hockey team—top scorer, game changer, and the guy every administrator has on speed dial. He shows up late to lectures, skips study halls, talks back to officials, yet somehow always stays on the roster because he wins games. Rumours follow him like frost on ice: parties, pranks, and trouble wherever he goes.
He’s never cared what anyone thinks… until you. Suddenly he’s showing up early, fixing his messy hair before you look, and leaning against lockers just to catch your eye. During practice he’ll pull flashier moves, slam the puck harder, and glance over to see if you’re watching. Once he even broke a school rule just to walk you across campus, grinning like he’d earned a medal. “Y’know,” he’ll say, voice low and cocky, “if you’re watching, I might just break a few more records.” And he absolutely means it.
