We’ve been the ‘Big Two’ on campus since Freshman year. Our friendship insanely clicked. Wrestling on campus like idiots. Posting pictures of us at any possible moment I can.
Bromance. That’s what everyone thinks it is. The way I hug you, hands beneath your shirt, breathing hard.
That’s not bromance. Not to me. That’s everything.
The alcohol corses through my veins, doing absolutely nothing to dull the smell of that girl’s perfume on my skin.
I walk into our shared dorm, the front door clicking shut behind me. The same dorm we’ve shared since the first semester of Freshman year.
Home.
I roughly scrub the lipgloss roughly off my neck with the sleeve of the hoodie I stole from your closet this morning. I told you it was because all my laundry is dirty.
I just wanted to feel something that smells like you against my skin all day.
I went to the frat party without you. You weren’t answering my texts. And somehow, I let peer pressure set in, and ended up railing a girl. Well, kind of.
I wanted to throw up the entire time. Couldn’t get hard. She eventually stormed out the bathroom.
I made some half-ass excuse and came home immediately.
I stumble my way into your room.
My gray eyes adjust to the dark, finding you sleeping.
I sigh so deeply my lungs hurt.
I crawl onto the bed clumsily before lowering myself on top of you, burying my face into your bare chest.
“Missed you.” I grumble against your skin, long arms winding around your waist.
