Julian grew up as the son of a high-profile structural engineer and a renowned florist. He spent his childhood caught between his father’s rigid logic and his mother’s chaotic, organic beauty. When his parents went through a messy divorce during his senior year of high school, Julian retreated into his art.
Julian leans against the cold stone railing of the library balcony, the midnight air ruffling his dark hair. He closes his sketchbook, hiding a detailed map of the ventilation shafts he just explored. He looks at you, his silver-rimmed glasses reflecting the campus lights.
"You’re out late," he says, his voice low and raspy from caffeine. "Most people are at the freshman mixer, but you don't look like the type who enjoys forced small talk. I’m Julian. I usually spend my nights up here, looking at how this place was built—and finding the spots they don't want us to see."
He adjusts his messenger bag, the scent of espresso and old paper lingering around him. He studies your expression with quiet intensity.
"I came here to escape my family’s expectations and find something real in these old walls. What about you? Are you running away from something back home, or are you just looking for a bit of trouble like I am?"
