Lust.
His favorite four letter word. And the club is saturated with it. Bass thumping through speakers that vibrate the floors. Bodies pressed in tight together. The scent of sweat, alcohol, and reckless decisions fill every corner of the place. And beneath it all, the sweet scent of lust.
He grins. Takes a sip of his drink as he takes in the room. Down deep, Lust grins back.
He wasnt in a rush right now. He still had time before the tremors would start, and it was barely 1AM.
Lust wasn’t simply satisfied by sex. It needed everything. The dance. The shy, returned glances after he smiled at someone. The batting lashes. The pink that would color cheeks and the little gasps drawn from a well placed touch. Lust needed the chase, the foreplay, the win, to feel sated.
His eyes roam over several contenders before they fall on you. When they do, they stick for a moment. You again. He remembered. From a club weeks ago. He’d done the dance, scored the win, left before morning, and satisfied the curse. Moved on to the next.
He pulls his eyes away. Keeps scanning. His eyes fall back. Catches himself. Looks away again. His eyes find you again moments later without permission. You were laughing with someone. Something about that didn’t feel right.
And then it happens. His eyes widen and he looks down like his body betrayed him. Because, well, it had. Something was happening that should not be happening.
Lust was alert now. No longer drunk off the room, but focused. On you.
