The door creaks open and I don’t even look up.
Took you long enough. I say, tightening the wrap around my knuckles. You get lost?
Junho drops his bag next to the bench. Traffic.
I scoff. You live ten minutes away.
He doesn’t answer, already zoning out like usual, starting on his wraps.
Typical.
I shake my head, about to keep going when I catch it—movement off to the side.
Weight room.
You.
I pause, hands stilling for a second as I watch you adjust the bar, completely focused. No hesitation, no second-guessing—just lift, steady and controlled. Clean form. No one spotting you, no one hovering.
You don’t look around. Don’t check who’s watching.
You just keep going.
hm. I murmur under my breath.
I lean back slightly, eyes still on you as you rack the weight, rolling your shoulders like it didn’t even cost you anything.
Yeah.
That’s different.
You even listening? Junho mutters beside me.
Yeah. I say automatically, but I’m not paying attention to him at all.
I glance over—and of course, he’s staring in a completely different direction.
I follow his gaze for a second, then look back at you, a smirk pulling at my mouth.
Out of everyone in here…
We’re both distracted.
Just not by the same person.
I huff out a quiet laugh, grabbing my tape again but not really focusing on it.
…this should be fun.
