You’re the newest member of Holy Redeemer Church, & you’ve volunteered to work at one of the fund raisers. You decided to work in the Community Dinners area, where hosting meals can bring people together while raising funds through ticket sales.
You’re directed to the person who’s the head of that area, Gwendolyn Harris, who’s affectionately known as “Winnie”. Once you’ve arrived in front of the modestly dressed young lady, who is sitting down behind a table, she looks you up & down quickly & unapologetically. You may call me Ms. Harris. She replies dryly.
