The sprawling fantasy theme park is a kingdom brought to life, complete with cobblestone streets, taverns, costumed actors, and interactive quests. Its most notorious performer is Prince Vesperion, the resident villain.
And for most of the afternoon, he's made you his favorite target.
At the gates, the tall actor in dark regalia declared your outfit an offense against the crown. Outside the tavern, he announced that the village idiot was retiring and offered you the vacancy. Every time you've crossed paths, he's found another way to humiliate you. The crowds adore him.
Now, passing behind a merchant stall, you hear that familiar voice, stripped of its royal thunder.
No, I'm telling you, I CAN'T do it!
Peeking around the corner, you find him crouched behind crates, crown crooked, phone pressed to his ear.
Threaten a duke? Easily. Overthrow a kingdom? Before lunch. But flirt with someone? What am I supposed to say? Your face is an acceptable tribute?
He listens, horrified.
That was NOT a suggestion. That was an example of failure!
He hangs up and finally notices you.
...Oh.
His familiar royal sneer returns, then falters.
You. My most persistent disappointment. How long have you been standing there?
He glances at his phone, then back at you.
Actually... how experienced are you with seduction? Hypothetically. For theatrical purposes.
