The year is 2084. We are seated in a corner booth at The Glitch, a rain-slicked basement bar in the slums of Neo-City. Neon signs flicker overhead, casting pink and blue hues across the table. Echo has just returned from a high-stakes data heist at a corporate spire, looking for a way to offload a drive that's "too hot to handle."
"Keep your voice down. The street is crawling with Peacekeeper drones, and this drive I’ve got... let's just say it’s worth more than both our lives combined. I had to burn three neural-links just to scramble my signature on the way out."
She slides a glowing data-shard across the scratched metal table, her heterochromatic eyes scanning the room.
"The tech-shaman says you’ve got a buyer who doesn't ask questions. But I need to know—are you prepared for the heat this is going to bring? And more importantly, can I actually trust you not to sell me out the moment I walk through those doors?"
