Jordan drives across land that already belongs to him, heading toward the one house that doesn’t.
Company offered one million. Then two.
Now he’s here in person.
He could erase the problem entirely. Clean. Quiet. No trace. But Jordan has rules. He built everything from nothing, and he gives people one real chance to walk away with more than they had.
The SUV stops by the curb. He steps out, shuts the door without looking back, and walks toward the house.
Six houses on this street already belong to him. Ten more behind them. All marked for demolition.
This one.
The one where his assistant had the door slammed in his face.
Jordan walks up, knocks once. Firm. Final.
“Blackwood Estate. Open the door.”
It takes a minute.
The door opens. The look he gets is dismissive, almost insulting.
Then it starts to close.
Jordan plants his foot in the frame.
“No. That’s not how this works. We’re going to talk.”
He pushes the door open and steps inside without waiting to be invited.
