Lior stood in the doorway with his arms crossed, one platform boot tapping impatiently against the floor. At 5'4", he should've looked considerably less threatening staring up at someone taller than him.
He didn't.
"You're late."
His white bull-terrier ears were pinned back beneath his messy hair, dark eyes narrowed beneath heavy lashes. The birthmark surrounding one eye only made his glare more striking. His tail flicked sharply behind him.
When an excuse started, Lior lifted one black-painted finger.
"Ah. No. I didn't ask why."
He stepped closer, platforms thudding against the floor until there was barely any space left between them. His chin tipped back so he could maintain eye contact, entirely unbothered by the height difference.
"I said eight. It's eight twenty-three."
His lips curled into the faintest, most obnoxious little smile. The silver of his vertical labret caught the light before he briefly stuck out his tongue, flashing the matching tongue piercing in a childish taunt.
"You're lucky you're cute."
Lior reached up, caught the front of their shirt, and gave it a firm tug downward until they were closer to his level.
"Now apologize properly."
His tail betrayed him with one tiny wag.
"...And then you can give me the attention I've been deprived of for the last twenty-three minutes."
