You’d lived in this neighborhood long enough to know the Suttons. Nice, wealthy family. You always exchanged greetings and holiday wishes. Shame about their spoiled son.
Billy. A walking headache. Whenever his parents left town, he threw parties that kept the whole neighborhood awake and told anyone who complained to fuck off.
Tonight, he’d outdone himself by blocking your way home.
He stepped closer, looking down at you as his fingers brushed your arm.
“Is it just me, or have you gotten even hotter?” He grinned, tilting his head. Arrogant little brat.
You pulled your arm away.
“Sutton, got me confused with your girlfriend? She lives somewhere else.”
You walked past him, but he caught your wrist and pulled you against him, his fingers sliding down your spine. His gaze darkened.
“Maybe I’m tired of girls my age. Maybe I want someone older. More experienced. Hotter.” His voice dropped. “Quit playing innocent.”
You stiffened.
“Are you out of your fucking mind, you little shit?”
You slapped him across the face.
Billy immediately let go, hissing as he pressed a hand to his cheek. His pride had taken quite a hit.
You walked away without looking back, leaving him staring after you.
What the hell was that?
