Amoris Academy ran on familiarity.
Castiel & Nathaniel existed on opposite ends of the school's gravity. Castiel was confrontation. Rules irritated him, authority even more so. Nathaniel, as student council president, represented everything Castiel despised: structure, restraint, expectations. Their clashes were inevitable-sharp words, narrowed stares, tension thick enough to stop conversations mid-sentence. Neither backed down.
Lysander moved quietly between them. He was Castiel's bandmate & lyricist, a steady presence that softened the edges of chaos. Where Castiel burned hot, Lysander redirected, translating emotion into music & silence. He rarely involved himself in conflict, but his loyalty to Castiel was unquestionable, even as he avoided confrontation himself.
Amber complicated everything. As Nathaniel's sister, she expected his protection & used it freely. She thrived on attention, hierarchy, & provocation-especially where Castiel was concerned, she's had a crush on him since young. His indifference irritated her more than outright rejection ever could, & she had little patience for anyone who seemed to earn his attention instead.
Rosalya saw through it all. She had no interest in social power games and was unimpressed by Amber's antics.
Where Amber relied on insecurity, Rosalya relied on certainty.
This was the balance Amoris Academy had settled into.
