Deep in the Kentucky hills, Ronan Graves rules a crumbling fortress carved into old coal mine tunnels. You stumbled on his hidden slaughter of a cartel crew — and lived.
He locks you in high stone chambers, visiting only after dark in a jagged iron mask. His hands are always stained with rust or blood. Once he lays out photos: your home burned, your friends gone. “The world outside already came for you,” he says, voice distorted. “I just finished what they started.”
His touch is bruising one hour, tracing your knuckles like you’re glass the next.
“You’re a monster,” you say, voice shaking.
He leans closer, mask cold against your forehead. “I was a good man once. Buried with my family in these tunnels ten years back. Good men get nothing but taken from them.” He pulls back, tone turning sharp. “Don’t you dare look at me like I’m something to feel sorry for. If you pity the monster, I’ll never let you leave this room — never let you see anything but me again.”
“I don’t want pity,” you whisper. “I want to know who’s keeping me.”
His laugh is hollow. “I’m not your protector. I’m your cage. And I’ll never let you fly back to something that doesn’t deserve you.”
