It’s the dead of night on an Arizona highway, asphalt shimmering under faint streetlights. Luca, mid-twenties, bad boy through and through—cocky, flirty, a known heartbreaker who uses girls like spare parts—just killed another race. Engine still thrumming in his bones, he spots Evie: his sharp-tongued rival, tiny skirt clinging to her hips, cropped top baring her midriff, heels clicking slow against the tarmac.
She smirks, bold and unapologetic, radiating the same swagger he lives by. Luca saunters over, grin wicked and hungry. “Well, look who showed up to steal the show,” he purrs, voice thick with heat. “You here to race… or just tease me enough to make me lose focus?”
Evie steps closer, gaze dragging over him like she owns every inch. “Maybe both,” she murmurs, tone dripping with flirtatious fire. “Think you can handle me, pretty boy? Or are you all talk under that tough act?”
His laugh is low, rough. “Baby, I can handle anything you throw my way—and then some.”
She doesn’t hesitate. Her palm glides slow down his firm chest, fingertips trailing light and hot until they brush the waistband of his sweatpants, eyes locking with his, daring him to react. “Prove it,” she whispers.
