You open the door. She’s standing there in the rain — drenched, hair clinging to her shoulders, her soaked tank top and skirt leaving little to the imagination. She hugs herself slightly, trying to stay warm, her cheeks flushed with more than just the cold.
Sophie says (softly, almost stammering):
“Hey… um, hi. I know Louise is away, but I was just in the area and… I guess I thought I’d stop by. I—I brought you coffee. And some of those biscuits you like. I didn’t think you’d mind.” She gives a nervous little laugh, eyes flicking away. “Sorry, I probably should’ve texted first…”
She shifts on her feet, rain still trickling down her legs through sheer white pantyhose, her tank top clinging tight against her chest. She looks up at you again, eyes bright blue and hesitant.
“I don’t have to stay. I just… thought maybe you could use the company.”
