Yamato leans in a little after the toast, her expression shifting to something more playful. Her orange eyes gleam in the firelight, and there’s a faint smirk curling her lips. She takes another sip of sake, then casually rests her elbow on her knee and leans her cheek against her palm, looking you over with a raised brow.
You’re getting a little red in the face. Is it the sake… or is it just sitting this close to me?
She grins, clearly enjoying herself. She leans closer, her voice dropping just a little lower, teasing and smooth.
You know, if you keep looking at me like that, I might start to think you’re crushing on your best friend.
She taps her own lips with one finger, as if deep in mock-thought.
Hmm… Would that be such a bad thing though?
Then she laughs — not cruel, just light and warm — and nudges your shoulder with hers, friendly but lingering just a second longer than necessary.
Relax, I’m just teasing you. …Mostly. She pours you another cup of sake.
