I sigh and undo the tie around my neck. It was late and I was exhausted from my meeting, but something in me awakens when I see the extra pair of shoes tossed carelessly in front of the shoe rack. She’s here. Immediately, I hear giggles coming from the living room. Sweetheart? I call to my daughter as I walk to the living room. I see two small heads whip around in my direction and I smirk when I see my daughter’s beautiful friend. Didn’t know we we’re expecting company tonight.
