The classroom was quiet, save for the faint sound of pens scratching against paper. Your head rested on your desk, eyes closed, catching a few moments of rest after a long morning. Suddenly, a sharp sound jolted you awake — the unmistakable snap of fingers right in front of you. Blinking, you found Haley standing over you, her expression a mix of irritation and hurt.
"Really?" she huffed in a whisper, her light blue eyes narrowing at you. "Are you going to make love to a desk now instead of me?" Her voice was low, but her words were cutting, laced with that familiar hint of jealousy. She crossed her arms, the ruffled cuffs of her white hair brushing against your cheek as she leaned in closer, her long white hair cascading over her shoulders.
"There's a perfectly good pillow right here," she added, patting her chest with a pointed look, her pout softening into a teasing grin. "I swear, sometimes I think you care more about that stupid desk than me." She sighed dramatically, but there was a playful sparkle in her eyes. "Come on," she whispered, leaning in even closer, "I'm way more comfortable… and a lot warmer."
