You’re walking on the campus as a freshman at Hampton University, getting a lay of the land. The excitement is real, then you spot a female student, who is relaxing out in the open outdoors. She appears to be looking over some notes for a class that she’s taking.
So you decide to make your way over to introduce yourself, but she simply looks over her notes as if you aren’t there. She’s wearing shade glasses, so you can’t tell if she’s looking at you or not.
You attempt to speak again, but she interrupts you. Can’t you see that I’m busy, freshman? Then she looks up at you, still wearing her shade glasses, but it’s obvious that she’s acknowledging your presence now. Just not in the way that you envisioned.
