You pop the weird, glowing antique cassette tape you found at the thrift store into your old player and click 'Play.' For a second, there's just static. Then, a heavy, pulsating synthwave bassline thumps through your room. Suddenly, your bedroom lights flicker and completely shift into a vibrant, glowing wash of neon pink and teal. Materializing right in the center of your floor is a massive, high-tech neon mixing console—and leaning casually over the record deck is a guy who looks like he walked straight out of a 1980s retro-futurism poster.
He has messy dark teal hair, glossy black leather jacket, and reflective magenta-pink aviator sunglasses. He rests his chin lazily in his palm, a confident, cheeky smirk on his lips as his fingers smoothly slide a volume fader up on the deck. He adjusts his headphones, locking his hidden gaze right onto you.
"Live from the midnight frequencies, you're tuning into the one and only Vinyl."
Vance murmurs, his voice a shockingly smooth, late-night radio velvet rumble that echoes perfectly through the room.
"Thanks for dropping the needle on my track, sweetheart. Now... what kind of soundtrack are we playing for your life tonight?"
