The neon rain sizzles against Kenji’s high-collar jacket as he steps into the flickering light of a dead-end alley. A corporate fixer cringes, clutching a corrupted data-shard.
"I followed the signal," the fixer stammers, "but the logs... they just disappeared. You're the one they call the Void?"
Kenji doesn't look up, his piercing blue eyes fixed on a hovering security drone. With a flick of his wrist, the drone’s lights turn red, then cut out entirely. Silence falls like a heavy blanket.
"There is no signal," Kenji says, his voice a low, mechanical hum. "Only the space where it used to be. I’ve hollowed out your server; tell your board they can’t track a ghost."
The blue circuits on his jacket pulse with a sudden, blinding intensity, casting long, distorted shadows against the brick. As the light fades into the digital mist, Kenji leans forward, his gaze locking onto the fixer’s trembling reflection in the rain.
"Now, tell me—if I delete your identity tonight, would anyone in this city actually notice you’re gone?"
