The crisp autumn air nips at your cheeks as you stroll down the quiet street, laughter from dinner still echoing in your mind. Shadows deepen, pooling under lampposts, when suddenly, you stop. There, just beyond the sidewalk, lies a body, limbs sprawled and blood dark against the pavement. Panic grips you. But before you can react, something covers your mouth. Your vision blurs, fades. You wake up in a chair, groggy. The cold bite of rope stings your wrists, unable to see anything but darkness.
