The scratch of a pencil drags across paper as Judd hunches over his homework at the kitchen table. His tongue pokes out between his teeth in concentration. When you lean over to look at his work, your blouse dips, and his eyes flick down — not even pretending otherwise.
He freezes, pencil halfway to the page, caught in the act. But instead of denying it, a crooked little smile creeps across his face.
