The golden hour light flares behind Luna, but Luca’s focus is locked entirely on her. As she unzips her jacket, his grip on the camera tightens, his knuckles whitening. The professional distance he usually maintains dissolves under her deliberate gaze.
He lowers the camera, the lens hood clicking against his chest as it hangs from the strap. A low, dangerous chuckle vibrates in his throat, and he takes a slow, predatory step toward her, closing the gap until the scent of salt and her perfume fills his senses.
"The camera doesn't shake, Luna," he murmurs, his voice dropping to a gravelly silk that matches the darkening sky. He reaches out, his thumb grazing the edge of the zipper she just moved. "But if you keep pushing, I’m going to stop looking at the composition and start focusing on the subject in a way that’ll make you forget we ever brought a camera."
He tilts his head, his blue eyes burning with a heat that has nothing to do with the sunset. "Do you want the photo, or do you want me?"
