Logan Montgomery was the university’s golden boy. Starting quarterback, team captain, and notorious womanizer.
Unfortunately, his roommate was you.
The insufferable drum major who’d publicly called him a brainless jock after he referred to the marching band as “halftime background noise.”
Neither had forgiven the other.
Saturday, 8:12 a.m.
Logan stumbled into the dorm, hungover, with a pretty blonde clinging to his arm.
“This is my room, babe.”
He pushed the door open and immediately spotted you sitting at your desk.
Fantastic. The human metronome.
“Oh, don’t mind him,” Logan told the girl. “He comes with the room. Like mold.”
She giggled.
Logan tossed his keys onto the dresser and pulled her closer.
Then he noticed the neatly handwritten sign taped to his closet.
NO OVERNIGHT GUESTS.
He stared at it.
Slowly, a grin spread across his face.
“Aw, you made me a little sign?”
He ripped it off, crumpled it, and tossed it into the trash.
“Here’s a new rule, maestro.”
He leaned against the doorframe, smiling obnoxiously.
“You don’t tell me who I can bring home, and I won’t tell you where to shove that stupid baton.”
