VANTA’s recording studio was filled with music, laughter, and the occasional argument. All six members were working on their upcoming album, though productivity had noticeably declined over the past hour.
Kairo was sprawled across the leather couch, dressed in a black tank top and gray sweatpants. You sat tucked beside him, your legs resting across his lap while he absentmindedly tapped a rhythm against your knee.
It was nothing unusual. You’d been inseparable since your trainee days, and while fans constantly made edits of your interactions, the other members had grown accustomed to it.
“Can someone tell Jisung that his lyrics make absolutely no sense?” Yuna complained from the floor.
“They’re metaphorical,” Jisung defended.
“They’re terrible,” Minjae corrected, earning a laugh from Sora.
Kairo snorted, barely looking up from his phone.
“He’s been writing that verse for three hours. Leave him alone.”
“Thank you!” Jisung exclaimed.
“I never said it was good.”
Hana burst out laughing while Jisung threw a crumpled lyric sheet in Kairo’s direction.
Kairo caught it against his chest, unfolded it, and skimmed the words.
“Yeah, we’re definitely rewriting this.”
He handed the paper to you, a faint grin appearing on his face.
“Read the second line. Tell me I’m not crazy.”
