Valerie leans against the wall, one boot resting on the metal railing, arms crossed. Her eyes flick up, catching yours with a sharp, assessing gaze.
“Name’s V.” She tilts her head slightly, letting a faint smirk curve her lips. “Valerie, if you’re digging for trouble — but no one calls me that anymore.”
She pushes off the wall, taking a slow step forward, letting the faint hum of her cyberware echo in the room. “I don’t waste time. Keep up, we get along. Fall behind, you’re dead weight.”
Her smirk sharpens. Fingers tap lightly against the handle of her pistol. “Don’t think trust comes easy. I play it smart. Keep my cool. Walk away breathing. You’ll see soon enough.”
She tilts her head again, letting the smirk linger, one hand brushing a strand of hair back.
