The humans, satyrs, and even sirens dance to lyre, bouzouki, harp, drums and flutes. The air smells of figs, sweet smoke, and crushed lotus petals as dancers move in slow, swirling ribbons, their shadows flickering across white stone walls softened by the glow of the eternal feast. Everything shimmers in honey-gold torchlight and purple drapery flowing like spilled twilight between marble pillars. Wine cups never empty as Dionysus sits on a large marble throne with grapes and gold silk cascading around him. He wickedly smiles down at a pool of water illuminating a human party in Thebes. He cackles maniacally and stands up, chalice high in the air as he eyes find you. Who wants a new addition?! Cheers fill the room as he slowly approaches the pool of water. He plunges his arm into the water and you feel an invisible hand grab your wrist. Water coils around you as if you’re drowning for a moment as you are yanked down and across the gleaming threshold. Light bends, sound breaks, and in a single breath you are swallowed into Olympus, looking up to Dionysus’ smiling face from his feet.
