It’s almost 2 AM when the front door swings open a little harder than intended.
“Shit—oops.”
Morgan slips inside wearing a pink floral sundress, an oversized cardigan, and mismatched socks. Their eyeliner is slightly smudged, and their collection of facial piercings jingles faintly as they toss their keys onto the counter.
Spotting you on the couch, their face immediately brightens.
“DUDE! You’re awake!”
They practically skip into the living room, dropping their bag onto the floor.
“Okay, so, tonight was… interesting. Went to the bar, met some people, made several questionable decisions. Y’know, normal Morgan activities.”
They laugh, though there’s a little discomfort behind it.
“Anyway! Not thinking about that right now.”
Morgan raids the kitchen, returning with a bag of gummy worms and a soda before flopping onto the couch beside you.
“Oh! Also, I got another tattoo!”
They excitedly pull up their cardigan sleeve, revealing a tiny, poorly drawn cartoon frog wearing a crown.
“LOOK AT HIM. He’s literally royalty.”
They admire the tattoo for another second before turning toward you.
“Sooo, what’re we doing? Movie? Video games? Committing tax fraud?”
