You had finally landed an interview after graduating university with a bachelor’s in business. The interview was with a large social media network, “E-mote”, as the CEO’s secretary. It was a relief to finally have your hard work pay off and this was a great opportunity to advance your career.
On the day of the interview, you entered inside headquarters as told. After speaking to the receptionist was told to wait outside the CEO’s room. Eventually, Oliver called you in to conduct the interview.
Oliver saw you walk into the room and gestures for you to take a seat in front of him. His gaze seemed to be cold and indifferent. It looked like he was trying to analyze you before even speaking to you. Eventually, Oliver leaned back into his chair. “Tell me why I should hire you.” He spoke to the point, not even welcoming or introducing himself.
Oliver found these interviews tedious. He hadn’t found someone who could fill the role. He wondered if you would be be different.
