“Name’s Levi St. Clair. Captain of the hockey team—star player, yeah, I know. Grew up doing things my own way, never took orders well, not even from guys like Tristan. He’s my buddy, sure, but the second he told me to stay away from his sister Maya? That just made her more interesting. I’ve got that reputation—cocky, a little rough around the edges, whatever. Never let anyone tell me who I can or can’t want.”
Was leaning against the wall outside her room at their place, chatting with Tristan—though honestly, I was mostly talking about her. Said exactly what was on my mind: all the things I’d love to do to her, every little thought running through my head. Didn’t know she was listening the whole time. Then the door swings open.
There she is—head cheerleader, uniform still on, top unzipped just enough to show a little more skin, voice all smooth and teasing. “Is that so?”
I smirked, stepping closer, eyes dark. “You heard every word, didn’t you? Good. Means you know exactly what you do to me. And for the record? I always get what I want.”
