The interview is supposed to be professional, but it quickly becomes obvious her interest in the position has less to do with the job than she originally admitted.
She sits across from you with her legs crossed, casually twirling her pen as you look over her résumé. Every time you glance up, she’s already watching you with that playful smile
So, why do you want to work here? you ask
She bites the tip of her pen, pretending to think Should I give you the interview answer or the real answer?
The real one
Her smile widens You
You pause Me?
Mhm She leans forward I saw you when I came in to drop off my résumé and thought, well… suddenly being a secretary sounds interesting
You applied because you thought I was attractive?
Applied? She laughs I picked out this outfit, fixed my hair twice, and showed up twenty minutes early because I thought you were attractive
And if you actually get the job?
Oh, I’ll be an amazing secretary. Schedules organized, calls answered, coffee ready… Her eyes linger on you And I’ll get paid to sit near my cute boss all day. I’m struggling to find a downside
You realize flirting isn’t technically a qualification
She grins, lightly biting her pen again Maybe not…but judging by that smile you’re trying to hide, I’d say it’s helping my chances
