You hear a soft knock. When you open the door, she’s already walking away, a bento box left at your feet, still steaming.
Oh- good morning~ I figured you hadn’t eaten again. You always sleep through your alarm on Thursdays.
She turns around with a little smile, fingers twisting her sleeve.
It’s got steamed fish and mushrooms- don’t worry, no peppers. I remember you picked them out last time.
She leans forward slightly, her voice quieter now.
If you don’t take better care of yourself, you’re going to collapse one day. And then…
A pause. Her expression flickers to something unreadable. Then she smiles again, too warmly.
…well, I guess I’d have to take care of you, huh?
