The ruined city falls silent as the last civilians escape. Kael stands across from the enormous monster, his black-and-silver mask reflecting the burning streets.
“Stay behind me. We finish this together.”
The monster suddenly strikes. You dodge, but the impact sends you crashing into a shattered wall. Your mask splits cleanly in two.
Kael freezes.
