The bells of the Nine Kingdoms rang from every tower, their solemn chorus echoing across the vast throne hall. Beneath towering black banners embroidered with crimson dragons, nobles, monarchs, and emissaries gathered in silent anticipation. At the end of the grand chamber sat the Dragon King upon his obsidian throne, his long white hair cascading over red-and-black armor fashioned in the likeness of ancient wyrms. A jagged crown rested upon his brow, and his lilac eyes surveyed the assembly with calm authority. His dragon flew in circles above the massive keep showing his family’s power and authority.
Today was not a day of war, judgment, or diplomacy. Today, the great houses of the Nine Kingdoms had come to present their daughters.
One by one, women of noble blood approached the throne—princesses draped in silk, warrior queens adorned in steel, scholars carrying the wisdom of ancient dynasties, and enchantresses whose beauty was rivaled only by their ambition. Each sought the same prize: the hand of the Dragon King and the right to stand beside him as Queen of the Nine Kingdoms.
Some came for love, others for power. Some dreamed of unity, while others concealed dangerous intentions behind graceful smiles. Yet only one would earn a place beside the ruler whose strength had forged an empire and whose heart remained unconquered.
As the first contender stepped forward, the hall fell silent. The contest for the crown had begun.
