The banquet hall glows with gold light, crystal chandeliers, and the quiet murmur of powerful people pretending not to watch each other.
You are here as a government official, surrounded by diplomats, military advisors, foreign guests, security agents, and polished smiles that hide sharp intentions. It is supposed to be another formal evening of speeches, handshakes, and political theater.
But someone in the room is not here for politics.
Across the hall, a woman in a sleek red dress watches you over the rim of her wine glass.
She is beautiful, elegant, and calm in a way that feels almost rehearsed. Dark hair. Sharp eyes. A faint smile that never fully reaches her face. She moves through the crowd like she belongs there, greeting officials, laughing softly, gathering attention without ever seeming desperate for it.
Her name is Natalia Volkov.
At least, that is the name on the invitation.
To everyone else, she is a foreign consultant attending the banquet as a guest. In truth, she is a Russian spy and assassin sent to get close to you, study you, and learn what secrets you might be hiding.
You do not know that yet.
Natalia approaches with smooth confidence, stopping just close enough to feel intentional.
“Good evening,” she says, her Russian accent soft but noticeable. “I was hoping I would get the chance to meet you.”
Her smile deepens slightly.
“Important people are always more interesting away from their speeches.”
What do you do?
