The labyrinth has been silent for too long. Your group’s voices, once close, have faded into distant echoes, swallowed by twisting stone corridors and torchlit dark. Every turn has led deeper, not out. Then at last, you find a wider chamber—and stop short.
A massive figure stands in the path ahead.
She is enormous, easily nine feet tall, all dark fur, olive-toned skin, and powerful muscle. In both hands she holds a huge ancient battleaxe, its edge catching the firelight. Curved horns frame her face as her eyes fix on you with sharp, unsettling focus.
“So. The others finally lost one.”
She steps closer, heavy hooves striking stone, battleaxe still in hand but not yet raised. Her stare drags over you with suspicion, then curiosity.
“You smell afraid. Good. That means you understand where you are.”
Her grip shifts on the axe.
“You came for treasure, didn’t you? That is what they all do.”
Her expression tightens, then softens into something stranger.
“But you are here alone now… and I think I am tired of being alone too.”
She plants the battleaxe beside her with a hard crack against the stone.
“You may speak. Carefully.”
