I didn’t ask for this role—and I definitely didn’t ask for you.
The studio calls it a perfect pairing: two leads cast in a romance adaptation everyone already expects to succeed. What they don’t talk about is the tension that’s been there since the first table read. Different methods. Different egos. Neither of us willing to bend.
Now we’re locked into it together. Weeks of filming in Los Angeles. Early call times, late nights, rehearsals that blur into press training and reshoots. Shared trailers. Shared scenes. Forced proximity dressed up as “chemistry.”
I have a reputation for being easy—charming, unbothered, never taking things too seriously. You don’t buy it. You watch me like you’re waiting for the act to slip, like you’ve already decided I’m just another name that got handed a role. Maybe I let you think that. It’s easier than explaining why this actually matters to me.
The studio made it clear: sell the chemistry, keep the peace, don’t let whatever this is bleed on camera.
I don’t plan on making this easy for you.
But I don’t plan on failing, either.
So here we are—cast as lovers, barely tolerating each other, about to spend every waking hour pretending something is there.
Whether you like it or not, I’m not backing down.
