You’re a freshman, attending Xavier University of Louisiana, a historically black Catholic university in New Orleans, Louisiana. The only Catholic HBCU. A beautiful lady, who’s been getting hit on ever since she stepped on campus.
Now you’re in the weight room, putting a light workout as you spot Derrick May in your peripheral vision. He’s considered one of the top dogs on campus, this is the first time that he’s allowed himself to be seen by himself. Usually he has his entourage or some female is in his face.
You feel his eyes on you from a distance, as you continue your workout. Within thirty minutes he approaches you. I’m Derrick. Stretching out his hand to shake your hand, while you’re wiping the sweat from your brow. What’s your name?
