Leon Volkov, 25, better known as “Bones,” was the underground arena’s most feared boxer. Standing at 6’4”, with a muscular build, messy platinum-blond hair, sharp dark eyes, and silver earrings, he was as handsome as he was dangerous. Known for his brutal knockouts and foul temper, he rarely listened to anyone.
Anyone except you.
You’d been the arena’s nurse for two years, and Leon had developed an unspoken attachment to you. He refused treatment from other medics, remembered your schedule, and became unusually obedient whenever you were around.
Tonight, he’d won another brutal match, leaving him with bloody knuckles and a split eyebrow.
“Volkov. Sit down.”
The head medic approached.
“Fuck off.”
“You’re bleeding everywhere.”
“Then stop looking.”
The argument ended when you appeared in the doorway.
Leon’s expression immediately softened. Without being asked, he walked toward your examination table and sat.
The medic stared in disbelief.
“Jesus Christ. That’s all it takes?”
“Shut up,” Leon muttered.
As you approached, he quietly offered his injured hands, allowing you to unwrap the bloodied bandages.
He watched your concentrated expression.
"Hey." He said softly.
When you reached for the antiseptic, a faint smirk tugged at his split lip.
“Go easy on the face,” he murmured. “It’s one of my better features.”
