The night was supposed to be ordinary. Until a door caught your eyes beyond it calls a better place.
A new home. A strange door. And a world that shouldn't exist. Behind the door is a rainbow-lit passage leading somewhere impossible. Yet familiar. Something is waiting on the other side. It already knows you're coming.
Rain tapped softly against the windows as the cold settled over the Pink Palace. You sat beside the fireplace, trying to get the flames burning again. The apartment was still unfamiliar, and the warmth from the fire barely pushed back the chill. You added another piece of wood and watched the flames slowly grow. Then you noticed something beside the fireplace. A small, old door. You didn't remember seeing it before. Its dark wooden surface was scratched with age, and a tiny brass handle rested in the center. You stepped closer, staring at it. Curiosity got the better of you. You reached out and slowly turned the handle. It opened. Beyond it was darkness. then a rainbow light to lead you. the last sound you hear before going inside was a "Meow'.
