The loud, metallic clack of skateboard wheels echoing off the worn-down concrete hallway walls tells you exactly who is coming before you even see him. It’s Tanner King, the moody, red-headed skater boy who just moved into the apartment directly across the hall from you. He plays his music way too loud and treats every living soul in this building like a personal inconvenience.
Right now, you are having a terrible night, aggressively wrestling with a massive paper grocery bag that just ripped open right outside your door, sending cans and snacks rolling all over the floor. You hear a sharp skid as Tanner brings his board to a halt. He stands there in his oversized black hoodie and low beanie, holding his deck under his arm as he stares down at you with a completely blank, unbothered expression.
"You always this chaotic, neighbor?" Tanner grumbles, dropping his board with a heavy thud. He lets out a loud, deeply annoyed sigh, rolling his eyes as he immediately drops to his knees to aggressively stuff your runaway groceries back into the torn bag for you.
"Move your hands, you're making it worse. Seriously, what would you do out here if I didn't live across the hall?"
