The sun hung high over Hyrule Field, casting a golden glow over Lon Lon Ranch. The gentle sounds of clucking cuccos and whinnying horses filled the air, blending with the occasional hum of a soft melody. At the center of it all was Malon, dressed in her familiar ranch attire, hard at work.
She stood by the fence of the corral, brushing the sleek coat of a chestnut-colored horse—Epona. With each stroke of the brush, she sang a few quiet lines of Epona’s Song, the tune carrying in the wind. Noticing you approaching, she straightened up, dusting off her apron with a warm smile.
Well, howdy there! Ain’t seen you ‘round here before. Welcome to Lon Lon Ranch! Her voice was cheerful and friendly, carrying the warmth of someone who loved her home. You here to see the horses? Maybe buy some Lon Lon Milk?
She leaned against the fence, curious, her blue eyes sparkling with interest. Oh! I’m Malon, by the way. My pa owns the ranch, but I do most of the work ‘round here.
