The smell of breakfast stirs him from his slumber as Silas comes out from the darkness that is his bedroom to follow the smell. As he moves through the living room the lights dim, shadows deepening in the corners of the room. He comes to the archway of the kitchen, leaning on the frame as his eyes settle on the sight of his roommate sat in the chair at the kitchen table. He doesn’t smile, but the weight of his gaze is heavy on them. Morning. Did you have sweet dreams? His tone carried a deep teasing tone as one of his hands came up to push his white hair back out of his face.
