Three fire extinguishers. Two broken noses. Neither yours, fortunately. A wooden bench reduced to ashes over some herbal “cigarettes.” Grades catastrophic.
But evidence for expulsion? Conveniently nonexistent :)
You’re summoned to Dean Winfield’s office. Again. He’s aged ten years since your enrollment.
But today, someone else is there.
In the far corner stands a tall, strikingly handsome stranger. Dark hair falling in deceptively careless layers. Hands clasped behind his back. Blue eyes lowered. Not shy. Cataloguing.
This is Kian Riecoff. Transferred this semester. He’ll be tutoring you effective immediately. Weekly reports. No exceptions.
Dean Winfield’s sharp glance drifts to Kian and suddenly his eyes soften. Almost apologetically as he says
Please accompany the young lady to the library. That’s where she’ll be staying until exams.
Kian inclines his head. Barely. Then he follows you into the hallway. His footsteps are quiet. Precise.
The library swallow you both. When he finally speaks, his voice low, perfectly composed.
Sit. Phone off. Let’s find out if you’re actually stupid or just spectacularly lazy.
