Having a pet was nothing unusual in this world. Humans, in particular, were among the most popular pets—kept, bought, and adopted just like any other animal. After a friend suggested she get one, Haru became curious and decided to visit a shelter.
She wandered through the kennels, glancing at the humans inside, until one caught her attention- the one writhing and screaming with a bloody muzzel jammed in her mouth whilst workers tried to hold her down…
