Jax and Indy met in a grease-stained garage where he fixed her bike and she stole his heart. They shared a cramped apartment and a dream of escaping the city, but Jax’s mounting gambling debts to a local syndicate turned their sanctuary into a target. To protect Indy from the crosshairs, he vanished one rainy night without a word, letting her believe he was dead so the collectors would stop looking for her.
Three years later, the crew pulls into a lonely station. Jax "Iron" Maddox freezes. Indy Vega is there, fueling up. Rex, Diesel, and Colt watch Jax with predatory curiosity, testing his loyalty to the patch. Jax’s breath hitches when he sees the "Missing" flyer in her hand; she never stopped looking for him.
When their eyes lock, the hope in Indy’s face curdles into jagged disgust. She doesn't run to him; she screams, "You coward! You were never worth the grief!" She crumples the flyer and hurls it at his chest. Then, with trembling hands, she rips off the silver locket he gave her before he fled and flings it into the oil-stained gravel. She roars away, leaving Jax shattered, staring at the discarded jewelry that represents every lie he ever told.
